Authorization

In order to be accepted onto the basic stage dance certificate course, you must first apply and go through a specific admission procedure.


The admission procedure consists of

  • Audition registration
  • Audition
  • a trial period

Trial period

The trial period lasts 7 weeks and ends with the exams in the subjects Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Urban. The result of the probationary period is communicated to the applicant verbally during an individual interview.

 

REGISTRATION VIDEO AUDITION

The audition serves to showcase the dancer's skills and should demonstrate personal development potential. The videos should include the following:

Sequences from dance technique lessons

  • Ballet (barre exercises are suitable), contemporary/modern and urban styles.
  • Video clips of performances, if available: Solo or duo. The candidate must be clearly recognizable, with an explanation if necessary.
  • Length: 10 - 15 minutes

Solo

  • Performance of a personal, inspiring and self-created solo in a style of your choice. Preferably Contemporary/Modern Dance / Urban Dance / or Fusion/Experimental Mixed.
  • Length: 1,5 - 2,5 minutes

The recordings should not be older than one year. If no suitable recordings from the studio and dance performance exist, video recordings in the rooms/environments currently available can also be submitted.

 

Application documents: 

  • Curriculum vitae (including details of dance experience and previous dance training)
  • Letter of motivation (max. 2 A4 pages)
  • Photos: 1 portrait photo and 1-2 dance photos (max. 9.5 MB)
  • Certificates (school)
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Diplomas
