Runpeng Wang is a contemporary dance teacher, choreographer and performer based in Zurich. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Dance Choreography at Shandong University of Arts and is currently studying for an MA in Dance Choreography at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

He was previously a dancer with Shanghai Jin Xing Dance Theatre and completed an internship with Xie Xin Dance Theatre in Shanghai. He is also a certified PCT Contemporary Dance Teacher with several years of teaching experience in Shanghai.

Class description
The class focuses on body connection, coordination, spatial awareness and dynamic changes.

Through standing and floor work, weight shifts, travelling and contemporary dance combinations, students explore how movement and energy travel through the body and space.

Rhythm, direction, speed and changes in movement quality are integrated into the training, helping students develop body awareness, musicality, coordination and a more connected and expressive way of moving.
