Luca-Andrea wurde 1992 in Basel geboren, wo er seine ersten Tanzstunden erhielt. Zunächst an der Ballettschule des Theater Basel; im Alter von 13 Jahren wurde er an der John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart aufgenommen, wo er seine Grundausbildung abschloss. Darauf folgten Studienjahre an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim und ein Gastvertrag mit dem Badischen Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Ein grosser Traum erfüllte sich nach Abschluss seines Master of Arts/Tanz mit einem festen Engagement am Bundesjugendballett 2013/14. Nur ein Jahr später tanzte er bei John Neumeier am Hamburger Ballett und seit der Saison 2016/17 ist er festes Mitglied des Nederlands Dans Theater. Seit mehreren Jahren arbeitet er zudem als freischaffender Choreograph, u.a. in Hamburg und Den Haag.

Limbo as in the zone between opposites in creativity, where we may not always be certain to what will come to us next, but will certainly stay openminded for anything flowing through our systems. There is no room for wrong, just room for thought. The human body could not be more unique. Approaching that temple of emotions, desires and needs is not to be taken without a great amount of gravity. That is the main focus of Luca-Andrea's Workshops - adressing the body, mind and spirit. We admit our individuality by finding free form through space, understanding our limitless possibilities and becoming aware of how and why we move. Carrying these ideas into improvisation and phrase work we shall seek to expand and grasp our artistic identities. Let’s access limbo together.
